Rancho Bernardo Library Community Room
In forming the Aviara Trio, Ines Irawati (piano), Erin Breen (cello) and Robert Schumitzky (violin), bring the highest level of instrumental perfection, intensity, passion and expression to this perfect combination of instruments. Each one, an individual performer of the highest caliber, manages to bring out the best in each other … shining on their instruments while blending and harmonizing to deliver the most pleasing results. Through the years, these three marvelous musicians had appeared regularly in the RB Library Chamber Concerts in duo and quartet ensembles. At the urging of an admiring audience they joined hands as the Aviara Piano Trio, making their premier performance at the RB Library in 2014. We have had them back annually ever since. This year’s program includes Trios by Beethoven and Smetana with a finale of Schoenfields’s delightful “Café Music”. Paul Schoenfield is an American composer and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his work. He is a professor of composition at the University of Michigan.
