Baroque at Its Finest

Associate Principal Cello of the San Diego Symphony, Chia-Ling Chien joins with harpsichordist, Takae Ohnishi to perform two of Bach’s rarely performed sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord.  Ms. Ohnishi is a lecturer in Baroque Chamber Music and harpsichord at UCSD. Ms. Chien will also perform one of Bach’s beloved suites for solo cello.  Ms. Ohnishi will perform a Chaconne by Handel, which highlights the unique sound of her instrument.  This concert is made possible by donations from the community.
